Phil Colvin
Youth Director
Phil Colvin came to St. Francis from England in October 2006 at the end of a world tour which saw him work and travel in almost a dozen countries over the course of a year. Before that, he spent two years working as the Chaplaincy Assistant and a Pastoral Tutor at the University of Bristol. He graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2003 where, as well as studying for a degree in English and Creative Writing, he served as a committee member for the Christian Union and worked as the film editor on the university's student newspaper.
Phil has worked with youth around the word, from placements in an orphanage in Bulgaria to a favella school in Brazil and a drug rehabilitation centre for Tibetan youths in northern India. He has also worked as a counselor and program director at summer camps in the United States.
Since September 2008 Phil has also been working as the Diocesan Youth Coordinator for New Westminster. When he's not doing either of his jobs (and sometimes when he is) Phil will be catching up with all the books and movies he believes he has missed, hiking and skiing around the world with his camera and writing the occassional essay on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Lynn Coules
Parish Administrator
In 1970 Lynn left Liverpool, England and followed Keith to Vancouver where they married in 1973. Shortly after moving to West Vancouver in 1981, they became members of St. Francis-in-the-Wood. Son Jeffrey (born 1982) and daughter Alexandra (born 1985) were both baptized in St. Francis.
Lynn's primary career as a para-legal lasted over 20 years. While recovering from an injury during training as a Vancouver Police Officer, she decided to pursue a different career in travel. Working as a travel consultant on and off for 15 years allowed her the opportunity to travel far and wide. Some of Lynn's favourite destinations are South Africa, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Australia.
Over the years Lynn has been an active community volunteer for numerous non-profit organizations. After completing many courses at the Pacific Marine Training Institute, she has been a volunteer for 16 years in the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, and a crew member on the search and rescue vessel in Fishermen's Cove.
In her spare time, Lynn likes to participate in outdoor recreational activities, including sailing with her husband Keith on their 32' C & C yacht. Lynn really enjoys the variety of work in her position at St. Francis and the people she works with - in fact she doesn't consider it work at all!
