Friends,

Christmas is coming and for the second time we will participate in the "Christmas at Sea" project the Mission to Seafarers organize.

They visit with the goodies to approximately 70 ships in Vancouver harbour, Roberts Bank, New Westminster and also at anchor.  To each of these ships they take approximately 20 packages  with the following enclosed:

1)  large chocolate bar

2)  toothpaste 130ml or larger

3)  toothbrush

4)  smallish Canadian souvenir

5)  toques..these are being hand made and donated by Louise Selby

6)  warm socks being provided by Nifty Thrifty funds

This task is not too onerous if you share the purchase with other parishioners.  If 4 people shared one item they would each need to purchase 5 of that item.

The alternative is to make a monetary donation.  We do need these items at St. Francis-in-the-Wood at the latest by DECEMBER 13th so that we can deliver them to the mission.

IF you have time, do look at the web site for the Mission, there is a lot of interesting information.  www.flyingangel.ca.

Donations can be left at church on Sunday in the narthex.
