Youth Groups
Youth Ministry and outreach has always been a vital component of the ministry and mission of St. Francis and we our committed to youth in the parish and surrounding community. The Youth Ministry at St. Francis consists of three groups: a Senior Youth Group, a Junior Youth Group and a Young Adults Ministry.
Junior Youth (grades 5-7)
Drop ins for juniors are on Mondays from 4.00pm – 5.30pm in the church hall and youth room for games, sports and fellowship.
We also meet on Sundays during the 10am service for our weekly discussion and fellowship group; as well as for one off events on Saturdays like visits to Fun Land, swim parties and dinners!
Senior Youth (grades 8+)
Drop ins for senior youth are on Mondays between 6.30pm – 8.30pm. We have dinner together and have a variety of themed evenings and activities. These evenings are open to all and are a great way to get involved with what's going on at St. Francis. Here's the schedule for our Spring 2012 events:

Confirmation Classes (ages 12+)
This semester, we're running a series of preparatory sessions for those exploring confirmation in the Anglican Church. These classes are typically open to those in grade 7 and above. Candidates for confirmation are expected to attend all the sessions; which include four Sunday evenings at St. Francis and three 'mission field trips' around the Lower Mainland!

Young Adults (ages 18-30)
Young Adults meet bi-weekly in locations around West Vancouver for dinner and fellowship. To get involved with Young Adult ministry at St. Francis, and to find out when we're meeting next, get in touch with Phil Colvin.
In addition to the weekly meetings there are a wide range of special events and activities including guest speakers, trips to go laser tagging, go karting or tubing. We also perform outreach to the wider Vancouver community; St. Francis youth serve with the Lutheran Urban Mission Society in the Downtown Eastside and are also involved in fundraising for groups in Vancouver and beyond.
