YOUTH NEWS Regular youth groups have finished for the summer break. We'll return on the weekend of September 10th - 13th with the senior youth camping trip and the first drop ins of the new school year!


AWAKENING TO THE SPIRIT THROUGH ART Two retreats offered this summer at the Bethlehem House in Nanaimo. July 23-25 and August 9-12. The facilitators are Nan Goodship and Jeanette Stigger. For more information contact H.J Luccock: hjluccock@shaw.ca or J.A. Stigger: jastigger@shaw.ca


NO MORE PASSING THE PLATE! Yes, it's true: Parish Council voted unanimously this month no longer to pass the plate around at the offertory. Most people now pay by PADP (Pre-Authorized Direct Payment) from their bank or credit card so the plate has become increasingly redundant. If you still contribute via envelopes or cash in the plate, please put it in the plate as you come into Church (or today during The Peace) or on your way out at the end. The offering will still be brought forward during The Offertory


AUCTION OF PROMISES This evening has now been rescheduled for Saturday 30th October along with a Dinner. Tickets for the Dinner will be available in September. A big thank you to everyone who previously donated a "Promise" and thanks in advance to all of you who are intending to donate for this Auction evening. Our celebrity Auctioneer Pierre Le Poque has once again agreed to be our host so this will be a fun time. Please do put this evening into your calendars now! We expect it to be a sell-out!
