Your Wedding at St. Francis
St Francis-in-the-Wood church is located beside Caulfeild Cove in West Vancouver. This traditional, 90-year-old church seats 120 guests in an intimate atmosphere.
Your wedding will be conducted by Rev. Dr Angus Stuart or Rev. Janice Lowell who will meet with you to help with the planning and preparation of your ceremony. If you would like to have your wedding ceremony conducted by your family minister this practice is welcomed at St Francis and our clergy will be pleased to assist with this.
The church musical director, Caitlin Beaupré, will provide and assist with the planning of the musical program that would be coordinated with the wedding service and your specific requests.
The church verger, Brent Morgan, will be present to coordinate the requirements of the bride and groom and facilitate arrangements of the wedding day. He will guide and advise the ushers with their responsibilities, familiarizing them with the church premises and the procedure of seating guests, and any special needs that guests may have.
The cost for a wedding at St. Francis-in-the-Wood is $1,375 which includes the use of the church, the minister (including three wedding planning meetings plus the rehearsal), the services of the music director, a verger to facilitate things on the wedding day, and two standing flower arrangements.
Undertaking a Marriage Preparation Course is a requirement of marriage in the Anglican Church of Canada. At St. Francis, we have operated a successful Marriage Preparation program for many years and couples have found the practice of being prepared for their married lives is both comforting and enlightening. Whether you take advantage of our Marriage Preparation or not, the St. Francis clergy will assist you in preparing everything you'll need for your wedding.
We welcome you to visit us and take a tour of the church and Caulfeild Cove so you can visualize your wedding at St Francis-in-the-Wood.
