Friends,

It’s good to be home after three weeks in Sandy Cove. This second Sunday in the Season of Creation meets us with honest weather: Jeremiah names a hot, unsettling wind and a world that feels scorched; Paul remembers mercy finding him when he’d run out of good reasons; and Jesus tells those small, bright stories where something goes missing, someone goes looking, and the day ends in joy. That’s a helpful map for us—tell the truth about what’s frayed, trust mercy to do its work, and join the search that ends in celebration.

We’ll carry that into our Secret Garden Party on Sunday. Think of it as a lived parable: a bit of tending, a bit of laughter, a table with room, and joy that doesn’t wait for everything to be perfect. We’ll gather at 10 am for worship and then wander out to the garden together. I’m looking forward to seeing your faces and hearing your news.

I’ll save you a seat,

Alex+
