One of the things Jesus was most known for was his ministry of healing. We therefore also seek healing and wholeness in the name of Jesus - for ourselves and for each individual, for communities including the church, and for the world in all its suffering and strife.
At St. Francis we offer laying-on of hands for healing, as a spiritual practice of our faith. We pray we are opened to possibilites for new life. Healing is not necessarily a cure, although it can be. It is a Grace, offering us support and love to live as best we can with presence.
Ordinarily this ministry is offered at some worship services, day-retreats, workshops and courses exploring healing and energy work. Right now, at a time of social distancing, we are learning to respond to the practice of faith in healing differently.
If you are in need of healing or would like to explore healing as a faith practice please contact the Church Office here and ask for Mary Millerd, who coordinates this ministry. Mary is a teacher, counsellor, an energy worker and a spiritual director, educated at UBC and VST.
However, if you have a pastoral emergency please contact the clergy directly.
