Friends,
You know that voice on the train that says “Mind the gap”? It’s meant to keep us from tripping, but I’ve always thought it’s also good life advice. There’s usually a bit of space between where we’ve been standing and where we’re going next.
The Church is in that kind of moment right now—caught between the year that’s almost over and the Advent that hasn’t quite begun. Between what we’ve rebuilt and what still feels uncertain. Between our best intentions and God’s larger imagination.
That’s not failure; it’s faith’s home ground. Renewal often begins in the gap—in the pause, the unfinished, the not-yet-sure.
This Sunday we’ll be spending time with those in-between places. The coffee will be warm, the music will carry you, and there’s space here (gap and all) for you to breathe, wonder, and belong.
See you Sunday— I’ll save you a seat.
